At Leading Ladies of Legacy, volunteering is not about rescuing girls or simply filling hours. It is about building relationships, expanding access, and contributing to safe spaces where Black girls are affirmed, challenged, and prepared to lead.

Good questions are welcome.

Do I need mentoring experience?

No. A caring heart is important, and so are preparation and reliability. We help volunteers understand the expectations of their selected role.

How much time do I need to commit?

Commitments vary. Mentoring and tutoring require consistency, while events and skills-based projects may offer shorter or project-based opportunities.

Will I need a background check?

Volunteers serving directly with girls may be required to complete screening, references, and a background check before placement.

Can groups or companies volunteer?

Yes. We welcome conversations with companies, organizations, alumni groups, and community partners interested in coordinated service.
